Judgement Reserved Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Judgement Reserved

How can I tell if Fortune has been fair
Or wanton as the wind upon the sea?
The dreams that built my castles in the air
Disdain the anchors of reality.
How can I tell if Fortune will obey
The lofty whims of fancy or rebel?
Perhaps it does not matter either way;
How can I tell?
