Julie Jesus Poem by Ed Kermode

Julie Jesus

Rating: 5.0

I assume from the light of the moon
That your lips were made for kissing
Hold me tight, tell me everything's right
Show me all that I've been missing.

I theorise from the look in your eyes
That your heart was made for loving
Give me grace, take me to that place
Where my life's beyond reproving.

I divine through the taste of your wine
That my soul was made for heaven
Hold me close, never let me go
Say my sins are all forgiven.

I suppose from the tilt of your nose
That my wings were given for soaring
Hold me close, while I give to thee
All the joy of my adoring.

Rich flow of thought embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm with spiritual insight. Beautiful work of art. Thanks for sharing Edward.
