Junior's Love Regrets Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Junior's Love Regrets

Rating: 3.5

The passenger is not seated
He is walking in agitation up and down the aisle
He bought a roll of peppermints
He goes through them rapid secession like a chain smoker

This one is quite hard
He should not have gotten tired of her
He should not have told her this
He should have let time run out on his taking back of having said this

That "sorry" never reached the mainland
He disconnected himself in mid-transmission
Or so communication nation said
Perhaps the period where she would have accepted that had already expired

Perhaps is a bag of trash some socially irresponsible person throws out of a speeding car

The fountain spurts, it entertains desire
It collects the coins of tourists and young girls
It doesn't return them
There are no refunds for love discovered to be defective

The wish of the fountain
The department store at midday
The girl behind the counter and her shoulder thrown into ignoring personal entreaties during work hours
There are no exchanges for love discovered to be defective
