Just A Dream Poem by Norchel Tingson

Just A Dream

I know I shouldn’t be hurt.
I know I shouldn’t be crying like this.
I shouldn’t be playing this part.
Where can I find the last piece?

Is this just an infatuation?
A deep feeling of admiration
Or a feeling with no explanation?

You’re making me a fool.
You’re letting me realize how dull I am.
You’re making me a fool.
You’re letting me know how dumb I am.

I don’t like the distance.
I don’t like the mountains.
I don’t like the stars.
And I don’t like you.

I don’t want to see you.
I don’t want to feel you.
I don’t want to hope.
I don’t want to wish.

I can forget you,
And I will.
I can believe you,
But I won’t.

You’re just a dream.
A nightmare,
A bad dream,
A scary nightmare.
