Just A Vision Poem by Katherine Perry

Just A Vision

Rating: 5.0

Like an angel so trusting and giving
And to those who have known the pain
There is a silent loneliness in living
To wake up every morning and it's still
the same

Even through this devouring loneliness
I have endured to discover love
The kind that brings encouragement
That for me, there never was

Sometimes I feel almost powerless
And all my energy seems to be
Taken up just for everyday survival
And trying to have faith in someone I
can't see

Lost in the shadows of my own consciousness
And the love that may never be true
It drives me to a state of unwillingness
Oh how I wish that was easy to undo

To love myself could never be nourishment enough
But for some it seems to work just fine
Chooseing roads which have been so terribly rough
Somehow I get through the obsticles always in the
nick of time

I wish that loneliness was not my companion
Instead a stranger that I would have never met
Hopeing one day it would just leave me abandoned
And replaced with true happiness that has not
happened yet

I would trade loneliness for love but locked in my
will and my heart
I desire to see as well as to be seen
And slowely the loneliness be lifted and part

So trying hard not to give up and except the way
it is
I must continue to lead myself on this mission
Knowing one day there's got to be a better way than
this
But for right now it is still just a vision!
