Just An Embrace Poem by Piccola Topo Gigio

Just An Embrace

Is all that I would require from you,
When my mind is so tired of rambling,
My body so beaten, it can hardly be standing,
I want to..

Just lower my eyes.
Bury my face into your shoulder,
Allowing you to be my resting boulder,
Permitting myself to loosen my disguise.

Hand over my resistance, and surrender.
Accepting your embrace, warm and tender.
Begging you to just hold me,
Hold me; and carry me to safety.
