Just Another Mountain Poem by Mike Kosman

Just Another Mountain

I came home from the baseball field
Teardrops in my Eyes
I didn't make the team
And I though that I would die

My dad put his big hand on my head
Said I'm sorry they won't let you play
But son
I'm proud of you anyway

It's just another mountain to climb
Another river to cross
Another cross in life
You're gonna have to bear
A stone in your shoe
On the way to where it's at
And you'll be a stronger man
When you get there

I practised hard and whadayaknow
Things finally went my way
My wish came true
They decided to let me play

I became the ace pitcher of the team
Everybody knew my name
And my dad was there
When I played in the all star game

It was just another mountain to climb
Another riverr to cross
Another cross in life
That I had to bear
A stone in my shoe
On my way to where it's at
And I'll be a stronger man
When I get there
