Just As I Am Poem by kabagambe moses

Just As I Am

Like pan-cake, a head so round,

Like best friends, me and sorrow,

Like drizzle, eyes that cries.

A heart built on experience,

Journey my past, many wounds,

Journey my present, beautiful scars,

Still you took my hand,

And loved me just as I am.

Your a breathing star that shines,

You never walk the street unnoticed.

Love is never fun when your losing,

So you explode into something beautiful,

Shining in from outer space,

So you can love me just as I am.

Sometimes it is noble,

To sacrifice our feelings,

For someone else's joy.

So I leave my heart,

Beating in fragile hands,

My soul dancing to melodies of you,

And out of the cage I walk,

Cause you loved me just as I am.
