Just For A Spell Poem by Paul Reed

Just For A Spell

All have come here
Entered our little house
Across the 'Welcome' mat,
For a reason, for a purpose
A need, as strong as that;

To re-affirm,
To mark down in time
To family bonds display,
To show that we were all together
All gathered on that certain day;

And all sorrows and disagreements
Were melted by laughter
Forgotten, if just for a spell;
As the New Year was born
By the clang of the midnight bell.
