Just Swoitch On Your Tv Poem by Francis Duggan

Just Swoitch On Your Tv

In these t v celebrities any semblance of humility is dead
Their egos can barely fit into their head
Those who love to be centreof attention I find hard to admire
And of their sort I am one who does quickly tire
It is true that most people of some form of recognition in need
And to be valued as a person is most important indeed
But too much admiration not good for the admired one's mind
And becomes a source for narcissism in the egotistical kind
I cannot understand why those with big egos so many impress
And why they have so many admirers and enjoy financial success
It does seem self promotion is now the in thing
And their own praises so many does love to sing
So many newsmakers lacking in humility
If you want to see big egos in action just switch on your t v.
