Just The Letter Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Just The Letter

Rating: 5.0

I am alone
Waiting for yr letter to arrive
As I watch for the letter carrier
They seem to not have come
Or they have left not having it
As I hope for it to come
I stand waiting for a sign
But I gave up praying
And thinking about it
For it was driving me crazy
Just a word from you
Could ease my pain
Of thinking there's something wrong
That letter would put away
The question I've been wanting
To ask for so long

Waiting for anything is painful. Even a passenger waiting for a bus is painful. But waiting for a love letter is so painful that I can't describe. Your words, 'As I watch for the letter carrier They seem to not have come'....A brilliant poem.

Dearest LeeAnn, the reason the letter has not arrived yet is because I lost your mailing address. Would you give it to me again, Darling? xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
