Remember how
It used to be
When it was only
You and me

Remember how
Much we cared
All the things
We always shared

But things have changed
From what they used to be
Because it's no longer
Just you and me

I wish that I
Could say to you
Why can't we do
What we used to do

But time can be
An enemy
That's why it ended
Between you and me

Things will never
Ever be
The life that existed
We'll never again see

I know that we
Could try again
But we would only again
Come to an end

So why try
To bring back
Someting that
Both heart's lacked

Once our love
Was strong and true
But that was when
It was just us two
