Juxtapose Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Juxtapose

Juxtapose

Left village as young child
-less than ten, around five
-but each and every part
-is living in my mind…

Easily visualise each step
-there; around, that did take!

Most of all recall the
-dog of Seyed Hashem…
- (Both acted as shepherds.)

He fed dog with blood
-and trained how to fight
-the wild wolves at day, night.

He had made a necklace that
-had sharp teeth, was saw-like
-and set it on neck of trained-dog.

The two led and guided
-the sheep, goats in plains
-and at hills, on mountains.

In times, dog was like wind
-when whipping the trees!

It ran, barked and scared
-animals that like leaves
-fell in the autumn wind.

The running goats and sheep
-resembled the painting
-depicting rolling leaves
-on ground, roads, to seas.

This is what saw today
-when took walk in open;
-the wind roared, beat trees
-massing the fallen leaves
-to wander as did herd…
