Kamikaze Heart Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Kamikaze Heart

Only through his eyes were they seen,
Baptized in the tears of her eyes,
For each time her heart grew with anticipation,
The season in their eye deepened,
The array of their touch became the ocean from which they fell,
Both,
Overwhelmed by the loss of breath they discovered such depth,
Much like the heights soared in the whispers of their steps,
Their lips caressed as their minds drew the conclusion of forever,
Each minute became longer,
Drifting into a single thought as two minds, two bodies, became one,
Overthrowing the cries heard from the weightless pastures above their heads,
Fast, steady,
The lines in their hands traced every direction eyes couldn't see,
Lost,
Left with nowhere to go,
An urgent need that ignited
As their reflection shimmered off each others eyes
