You are the apple of my eye
Your brother is the other
I thank God everyday
He made me your mother

I love you, with all my heart
This was meant from the start
So no matter where you are
or how you may feel
The love I have for you, is very, very real

This is something I can give you
That no one can steal
The love I have is real

I know there are times
You don't like what I say
But that is being a mother
You have to hear it anyway

Me being your mother
Was meant from the start
This is why this poem
