Kismet Poem by L. K. Thayer

Kismet

to age upon the fringe of being
in essence or invalid
significant signposts of mortal beasts
starve between bites
uncovering kismet

the shattered ball gown heaves
a snake's coat shed's light
fractured...
rapture and rust
unite

dripping wet...
dinner is served
