Knights Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Knights

Knights

Like in wars
Today's not, of past times
When men were heroic and brave
Sword in hands one fought one
Came cockroach;
The large ones chose trench
Went to hide
In Fronts remained kids, and small,
And the ones with crouch…

Their girls are
Not like ours to be in uniform
"Equal? "

Drowned I in my thoughts
Are ISIS, Bin Laden, Taliban
In heat wave I see lines
Voiceless March…

I zoom in
See the Kids
See women and the sick
Among them South Sudan
Powerless; all victims of the wars.

I remain
Confused between right, and the wrong.
