We learn love is patient and kind
But when put to the test
It strains
Why?
Mimicked love
Fake love
Fictitious love
Replace
True love.
What is this love I speak of?
Well it is rare
And never foreseen
It is known by little
For it is hard to find
Your soul mate
The actual one and only
For in today’s society
We are nonobservant
Unlike the ones before us
We are cruel
And rude
To those who mean the most
For today’s society
Is restrictive
With the peer pressure
And high expectations
We forget what is important
And true
But they remember…….
Love
It is kind and patient
Forgiving and willing
Now shall we give it a try?
