You walked in when I needed you
I searched for trust,
I found it in you making me secure
With open arms you waited
As I reached closer,
I saw the thorns in the roses
Yet I thought of the fragrance

As the walls collapsed around you
You let fly the heavy brick on me
Making me one with the debris
Yet I strive with undeterred hope
Love you turned to abhorrence
My mind was chaotic
My spirit gone astray

I was shaken,
The wounds were too deep to be mended
And were never meant to be erased
Still I have hope on friendship
