Las Vegas Layoff Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

Las Vegas Layoff

The Strip or the Boulevard,
the outcomes the same

Fates wager a coward,
smoky mirror to blame

The bet beyond reason,
its folly ingrained

The layoff now treason,
as you wallow in shame
