Last Chance For Love Poem by John W. (Coyote) Fox

Last Chance For Love

Rating: 5.0

Love is not my mind nor motion. Love has left me standing cold.
Love has not been kind or pleasing. Love will watch me growing old.

Hate has been my sole redemption. Hate and I have made good friends.
Hate has given me exception, but given thoughts to make amends.

War and peace you gave me time, gave my life direction...meaning.
Chance to think of turning point. Love may have one chance remaining.

If I go on loving hate, frinds won't bother coming 'round.
But friends like I have never bother looking at you when you're down.

If I chance love one more time, it can hurt me if I lose.
'Hurt' I've felt before, and I know it's feel-it's love I choose.

Please don't hurt me like before. I want for once to make a score.
Don't deny me any more.
