Doug Jones (Iowa)

What do you think this poem is about?

Last Rose of Summer

fragrant in the night
color fading in the light
in the garden of desires
with full moon rising higher
swimming in the summer wind
timeless beauty pinned
to changing landscapes
where thoughts escape
and cascade over rocks
pausing the ticking clock
