Late April Sky Poem by Mitchell Greenwood

Late April Sky

Rating: 5.0

The sky this evening seems to be bathed in onyx morosely
Rain intermittently falls echoing sorrowful tears of heart
Darkness overcoming, not a light seen in this sleepy town
An atmosphere of empathy is nature's way of comforting
A reminder that in all our lives, we encounter darkness

The sky tomorrow will certainly emanate radiant light
To dry all the rain soaked earth
Cast light on the sullen darkness
Bring forth a brighter day
A reminder to embrace my strength and love within

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Rajaram Ramachandran 29 April 2007

The sky today and tomorrow is well brought in a contrast-the dark one today and the expectation of a bright one tomorrow, to say that man always lives on hope for the better.

I like this a lot.Mitch...Sometimes though, i think we need a lilt of rue, to remind us of how sweet the roses smell.....kind of like the Zen theory of balance...YING/YANG.... GREAT WRITE! FjR
