Late Night Confessions Poem by dan wittenkeller

Late Night Confessions

Rating: 2.7

As the sun shined you stood there
As the moon glimpsed you made it lighter
As I smiled you made it wider
As we kissed you made it brighter
We were once one
As an army we stood strong
That was before long
When you walked out the door
Leaving me asking is there more?
I would die to kiss your lips again
Strive for your touch
That makes my heartbeat thrive
And my pulse ride
I know what you got me in
I should want to leave this
But I don’t
I want this
I want the complication
I want us
To be
What I know we can
I believe were stronger than
A lion in a den
A bird in its cage
That’s how I will be
Until your love sets me free
This sun sets, as long as you stay in place
The mellow heat of your body is wonders to me
The feelings you bring to me are unlike any other
And as long we live
They will stick close
And align into place
