I have fallen sick many times in life,
So also, I have hurt myself many times.
As a dancer, there is always some kind
Of physical ailment or pain,
A muscle pull, a sprain,
Aches or even accidents.
Each time, I battled with it bravely,
Purely through my faith in God,
Or you may call it ‘Absolute Trust'
In the Universal Life Force to be healed!

Over the past years,
After a few days of medicines,
Rest and reassurance from my family,
I would be up and about happily,
With my daily chores,
Dancing and singing,
Talking and laughing,
Like as if nothing ever happened,
Like as if I was never sick,
That Life is meant only to be beautiful!

This Year 2022, there was a wave of change,
Everything changed right from January onwards,
'Omicron - ‘Covid Virus' attacked like a storm
Into the city of Mumbai, where I lived.
My family was afflicted with this virus, so terrible.
Just when we thought we had recovered in February,
I had a relapse that affected my lungs.
I coughed, coughed the whole day,
Till I could not bear it anymore.
The worst happened when I could not talk at all!

Though I felt hopeless and exhausted,
And as I could not talk at all,
My faith in God and the healing powers
Of the cosmos remained unshaken!
I began painting the symbol of 'Aum'
The ‘Cosmic Sound' of the Universe,
Followed by drawing the figure of Sri Ganapati
Elephant headed God - worshipped by millions in India.
I was not experienced in drawing at all,
But I painted with courage and faith!

As I completed around twenty five paintings
Of both ‘Aum' and ‘ Sri Ganapati',
My cough began to reduce considerably.
My voice is back, I am now able to talk!
It took eight months to heal.
I attribute my cure to silent meditation
On God and His immense power,
Concentrating on art work,
Of absolute faith and trust,
On the healing heart of the universe!
