Lessons Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lessons

I sit and watch movies
-mostly short
-to enjoy, for learning
-light, angle, story
-and also directing
-for almost everything

See a cat
-silly as they could be
-lies with legs stretched
-head is far on its neck
-eyes closed, does not purr.

A big dog is neighbour
-are friends and licks her.

I go back to nature
-recalling cats and dogs
-and their fights
-have seen dog tear cat up
-saw the cats climbing on trees from dogs!

I dive in questions like:
-what happened to nature?
-what is this?
-what is fair?
-is it need?
-how things change?

With no chance for reply I succumb to my thoughts:
-friendship, company are indeed
-parts of peace and our need
-or maybe died antiques?

To bare eyes in desert, sea, sky
The borders can't be seen
There, it is a no end!

I too as limited in vision
Remember reading those nice poems
Of Sufi and dervish who was named Safi-Ali-Shah…
