Let It Be Poem by Nazmul Haque

Let It Be

Let the laughing lips
Sometimes taste
the moisture of tears
and let the moistened eyes
smile a little bit again.

Let the song arise
and the music be played.
Let silence touch
the delicate strings of words
and let the words
sing the poetry of silence.

Open up all the windows,
and raise the curtains
let the new wind
enter the closed doors.
For so long the moonlight
has been peeping from the roof-tops
Now put out the lamp,
Amd let it enter your courtyard.
The climate has begun to be coloured
with the tint of spring
Let the jasmines blossom,
And let the roses become fragrant again.

Let the deep night
tell a few secrets to the flowers,
Let the secrets be revealed
from the lips of the flowers
to the filty world.
Let the feet of the earth rise a little
to embrace the sky
And Let the arms of the sky
bow down a little to kiss the earth.

At times let the temple resound
with the prayers of the mosque
And at times let mosque be resounded
with the bells of the temple.
Let the ocean become the cloud
and rain down,
and let the clouds of river get lost
in the ocean again.

Let the laughing lips
Sometimes taste
the moisture of tears
and let the moistened eyes
smile a little bit again.
