A pair I seen before
Usually holding hands and galore
Amounts of love
Tender soothing musical sounds of peace
He rang the doorbell no roses this time
She opened the door and snapped
She slammed the door and locked
It was apparent something was spooked
Amongst those two
Let me in he said
His voice raspy tired
What could have gone on between the two?
I wondered as I stroked my feline companion
Sitting next to me on the balcony bench
Birds flew wide open from a tree
As the two began quarrels
I etched closer with my stroller
God knows what could have happened
Lastly she began to cry sitting herself
From the sound of it next to the door
As a large bonk was heard from where I stood
The man now broke down on the floor
It was already midnight by now
I gave the poor chap a blanket
Went back to my porch and graced
As I am nocturnal and suffer from insomnia to Alzheimer's
Whatever that is my doctors have prescribed me with
I used to recall what it meant
But this is about the couple not of me
The morning rose and I saw them rise
There was in fact a rose in his hand rising
She opened the door woke him up
Tears broke out the two went in
Forever more just a bother
These pesky love birds ought to
Make up their minds
For this isn't the first time
I heard the man say
Let me marry you

A nice narrative poem with a good romantic story simply told by a chance observer who has his own problems in life. A third party can throw light on a difficult situation like the one described.Seems like there is another poem in the poet's situation.8.
