Let me lock these feelings away
I can sense you about to hurt me more than I would ever think
Let me shift away from these feelings I have for you
In my view you have already shifted yours it’s just a matter of finding courage to tell me
Let me hold my heart close to me
The belief that you and me were born for each other has just vanished
Let me keep my tears
It’s better to cry over someone who really cares about me
Then to cry of hurt that you saw coming and lied to yourself that it’s your eyes
Let me let these feeling go away
Your secret is about to come out and make me tremble
Let me let go of all the desires of building a future with you
Your future is on the picture that you hide on your phone not for me to see
Let me shift my focus on things that build me
Your focus is already on the lie you go to our bed with daily
Not sure if you ever watch your actions around me
You can’t even hide the lie you carry with you
What we were before we met and what we are now after that lie you carry
Let me bank all my desire for someone who will never see beyond me
Your beyond is on the photo that you look at when I am not on your view
I am locking my feelings away for you not to hurt them
I am locking them away so no harm can touch them
When you close your doors of love I don’t hurt and question myself
