LETS' LIVEIN PEACE
Let's live in peace
sons of the Sahara,
coloured amongst white and faded flowers
than tear our hearts with rapier
our breaths with the poisoned arrow
and our heads saggy
in the executioners' slander.
lets live in peace,
in peace of the gentle birds
in calmness of the gravesides,
colony of seed
selflessness of the brown ants
in unity of the cherubs
and community of the stars
lets live in peace
than skulking behind
the bush, on safari for skulls
who are of the same skin,
than walking with rainbow mind
watching the soil you match
in this great wilderness
put down your swords in your plowshoes
and your hands
round the others neck
than in frission dwell
keeping vigil
over nights' movement.
lets live in peace
unhanding the slabs of stones
To be showered out to foes
In defiance for our heads
Than guns gallantly standing
To vomit bullets in billions
lets leave,
the lusty posture of battle
lets not in hurry hunger, a seeded world
lets live in peace
*for here, like tenants
in thatched huts we dwell.
Soon, too soon the tropic storms
will out-blow the flickling lights
of human life-
our huts will fall, in frailty upon the earth
whereon, they rot
and we, infoul disintegration,
will be identified-
with dust*
