Let The Light Come In Poem by Kaikubad Ali

Let The Light Come In

Its been long the window isn't open,
Darkness prevailed the world of four walls.
People inside, relied on the candle for light.
But every candle has its own finish.
Enough is with the darkness,
Now open the window, let the light come in.

Its been long the child is crying for mother's lap.
Its been long the woman is hiding the river of pain
Under her hood as the husband has not returned
When he went to the liquor shop after beating her last night.
Now the pain is enough,
Please open the window, let the happiness come in.

Its been long that old mother of self served world
Is cleaning and sorting her son's childhood toys and clothes.
Its been long she has not seen her son's face
After her son left her, married to his choice.
Enough is the patience of dying.
Open the window, let the lost child come in.

Its been long the jobless young is lying on the floor
With papers of degrees, thinking of society;
Thinking of the government, thinking of the policies.
Its been long the revolution has not come on the streets.
Enough with the dumbness and waiting.
Now open the window, let the revolution come in.
