Let Us All Make Sure Poem by Raymond Farrell

Let Us All Make Sure

Let us all make sure
As we wend our way
Through life
That we do not always choose
The new asphalt road
With the fast lane
And rush to our destination
Better
Once in a while
To take a few back roads
And get out
And hike off
Into the bush
Or stroll
Through a park
It mustn't be all
About getting
To where we're going
It's important
To leave
Plenty of time
To have a relaxing journey
No need
To rush
From the cradle
To the grave.

Truly, we should not haste, for haste is a waste.
