Let Us Breathe Again! Poem by Debendra Majhi

Let Us Breathe Again!

Rating: 5.0

The Clouds of dirt Columns
Emanates out of the ‘developed' earth,
Throttling lives indiscriminately.
As they ascend and join their smog kins,
Hanging heavy over the city,
Heaven stalked by the hell,
Hooded and noosed for strangulation,
The heaven groan in pain.
The retina eclipse, myringa deafen,
Nostrils choke, Oh God!
Give me another organ to breathe.

It is an awareness against pollution through a beautiful poem having touching expression. I quote... The heaven groan in pain. The retina eclipse, aerodromes deafen, Nostrils choke, Oh God! Give me another organ to breathe. Thank u dear Debendra, keep the ball rolling.

An amazing piece of poetry! Short but highly expressive! I am utterly fascinated with the first three lines, 'The Clouds of dirt Columns/Emanates out of the ‘developed' earth/Throttling lives indiscriminately'. I appreciate the piece of work heartily! I vote this beautiful poem with a 10

A witty reflection on the ugly effects of pollution occasioned by industrialization, and other human activities that destroy pristine ecosystems. A poignant piece of poetry set aside for serious contemplation. Thanks for sharing Debendra.
