Let us play a love story
Secretly, silently and obviously foully
Let's love each other with ardor
And with vows weighted with honesty,
But as long as I want!
Then I want us to be strangers,
Strangers enough that no eye would know
Let us play that love story!


Let us bury it alive,
When I do not find it fine!
And It shall be dead with time
But be patient enough, for you shall heal
Cause, no wound lasts forever,
No hour would know about us
Let us play that love story!

Where I would make you dream
Dream of a home and our last days together
Dream of children that shall be ours'
Dream of dancing on ‘Thinking out Loud'
Dream of dancing in a Prussian gown
Dream of a nest where we shall dwell
However, it would just be a dream,
Let us play that love story!

Beware not to succumb to your heart
Cause these are just words, mere falsity
Cause I am just a mirage
Beware not to love me but just to pretend
Cause this is just a play
And you have to enact,
Let us play that love story!


All promises are superficial,
And the communion just an episode
And I shall leave in a while
With reasons undefined
You shall have to be resilient enough
To let go of me,
