Let You Go Poem by Christopher Montalvo

Let You Go

(Dedication/Inspiration: Killswitch Engage)

When darkness falls,
Daylight slowly dies,
Trapped in the eye of the storm,
The return of the forgotten,
Lost in a dead world,
Just barely breathing,
Without a name.

Misery sets this world ablaze,
My curse of love,
Still beats your name,
Desperate times,
Laying in the arms of sorrow,
Rose of Sharyn,
Clenched in my hand,
Take this oath,
Peace and harmony is my wish,
Hopefully, you'll understand.

Determined to start over,
My righteous self-revolution,
A light in a darkened world,
An unbroken silver lining,
My last serenade,
To my fixation on the darkness.
A bid farewell to my nightmares,
This declaration for sanity,
Marks the end of my heartache.
