Liar, Liar. Poem by Hailey Agnew

Liar, Liar.

Don’t you just love,
How every guy’s the same?
Don’t you just hate,
The player and the game?
They told me,
Everything would be okay.
I’ll never trust those words again,
Even to this day.
I said I never like him anyways,
This is what I meant.
It doesn’t mean it wasn’t a lie,
On my heart he left more than just a dent.
He tore my heart to shreds,
Because he never cared.
He led me on,
He reasured me when I was scared.
He told his friends,
I went the whole way.
I never did,
I said no way.
But I would rather have scratched pride,
Then a broken heart.
He said,
I was his whole world.
Liar, liar,
Hang you from your sterio wire.
Soak you in gasoline,
Set you on fire.
I’ll write you from jail,
My friends with pay bail.
Because they know the truth,
They know you.
