Life Poem by Anu Joshy

Life

Rating: 2.0

“This is life”, they said.
“Full of trials and tribulations,
A beautiful interplay of,
happiness, joy and grief.”
But that didn’t satisfy me.

“This is life”, they explained.
“Full of partings and pain,
An artwork adorned with emotions,
We love some, and we hate.”
But that didn’t quench my thirst.

“This is life”, they shouted.
“Full of its own surprises,
A chain neatly forged,
Of success and failure.”
But that did not stop me.

“This is life”, they cried,
“Full of shocks and sorrows,
A painting left incomplete,
Where fate toys with you.
But that didn’t quite me”.

“This is life”, they pleaded.
“Full of unexpected events,
A soulful song unsung,
Come, face the reality! ! ! ”…
But my tears rolled on.

How do they know what life is?
They… who call you dead
How do they know?
For them,
You might be gone
But for me…
You are here, all the same.
