Life And Death Poem by Maya Trowborst

Life And Death

Life and death are Romeo and Juliet
The day and the night
Forever together yet always apart
Like the earth and the moon

For life births us as gifts to her beloved
And time delivers us to death's door
So he may treasure us and keep us forever
As would two forbidden lovers

They stand so close to one another
And yet are so far apart
But even though the may never touch and rarely meet
They still love and cherish each other.
