Life In The Rain Poem by Rik Bertrand

Life In The Rain

There are times when I have no idea,
And times when I am consumed by fear.
Times when all that I touch consumes me,
And times I must struggle to be free.

I feel for change, like maybe life in the rain,
An experience, that for me is hard to explain.
The rain splashing down, the cleansing of the soul,
It all assists me in getting back in control.

There are times when I turn my head in shame,
And times when I take all the blame.
Times when all I see is the suffering and pain,
And times when life seems so insane.

I want the rain, the droplets upon my face,
I want to run free and the rain embrace.
I want to roll in the grass and feel the wetness,
Drop down to my knees and Pray, God Bless.

Life in the rain strengthens my ties to life,
Loosens the ropes and removes the strife,
My soul floats on the droplets that flow,
Binding my heart and making it glow.

REB (AUG 2012) I felt a raindrop today and I liked it.
