Life Is A Parenthesis Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Life Is A Parenthesis

Rating: 5.0

Life is a parenthesis between nullity and meaning.
Each one of us can make it meaningful, not null and void,
But something to endure
Beyond memory or prophesy,
An air that has been felt or sung.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
At some juncture in life, each person may try and reason out
for himself or herself the meaning of existence and extinction.
The beauty is that one need not be a philosopher or a theologian
to seek a personal ethos.

Madhu, you are not only a poet but a reflective philosopher as well I am reading a book “a full life” reflections at ninety by Jimmy carter. I loved his earlier book “an hour before daylight” all selected by pantu. Priya still has to take photos and send them to Girija. Love to both of you.asha Jain

The note at the end of this little verse conveys my 'take' or 'give'.
