Life’s Eternal Seed

Friend! Have you met The Sower yet?
Has life yet taken root?
Or will you die with much regret
Presenting putrid fruit

When soon the night has passed fore by
When wide grow then your eyes
When angelic trumpets sound on high
Sleeping souls to arise

When joyful the living, take flight
Through blessings falling like rain
In perfect robes of shining light
Life’s golden crown to gain

Now can you expect such awesome grace?
Believing as you do
Hoping truly to see God’s face
Through faith of birth anew

Do you despise your life of sin?
The shameful things you’ve done
Turn and pray salvation in
Through Jesus Christ God’s Son

My friend, I too was once like you
Bewildered blind and lost
Until drinking of Heaven’s Dew
Through he who paid the cost

Through blood on Calvary’s tree my friend
Through death’s torturous pain
Through faith and trust joining life’s few
I live to live again

Not perfect yet, but on The Way
Within Christ Jesus’ hand
Never will I from truth now stray
Towards God’s Promised Land.....
