To all things there is a beginning
as well as an ending.
Yet, to some
they are one and the same.
One is born
only to die.
It is not how long we live
that is important
only that
while we are here
on this planet
that we do live.
That we do not let fear,
pain, and sorrow
guide us.
Instead
that we cherish each and every
waking moment.
That we seek out
each new experience.
That we love
as only a heart
open to love can.
And we remember
that to all things
there is a beginning
and an ending.
It's the living
that counts.
