Lighthouse Am I Poem by bob gormley

Lighthouse Am I

I stand tall upon the rocky heights,
My beam of light rotating for sight...

Wayward seaman have welcomed my view,
To save many a life, to keep them anew...

The perils of sea can be disastrous you know,
To all who see me, I am aglow...

Yet in life aren´t we to shine? ,
To touch another human, and not be unkind...

To let our light shine,
For certainly, we will be in need to those on the brine...

R. Gormley
(circa 2010)
