Like A Darting Deer - Prayer Reflection Poem by Lewis Eron

Like A Darting Deer - Prayer Reflection

I ran with Your deer today,
At least I ran after them
But close enough to join them step by step
Over the fields
Down the road
As they leapt and danced to You.
I matched them
Pace for pace,
Breath for breath,
Or so I thought
Until they turned and fled from me;
Until I slowed and turned from them
And continued on my jog to You.
