Like All Poem by Francis Duggan

Like All

From your gifts you have known of wealth, success and fame
And many so many know of you by name
A stone sculpting of you in a park in your hometown
You have achieved your life's dream of Worldwide renown
A brand new home with many millions in money and a brand new mercedes car
People tell you of how very clever and of how talented you are
Perhaps you are not to blame if their praise has gone to your head
That praise inflates the ego in truth can be said
You have achieved in life all you did desire
And you are one of those so many look up to and admire
To have so many admirers you are quite lucky indeed
Of anything in life you are not in need
And though many do look up to you as a great
Like all others with the Reaper of lives you too does have a date
And despite your fame and material success
Like all others life is the greatest gift you does possess.
