Like Candles In The Wind

Though life was bought on Calvary
Though life is here to find
Though God salvation gives us free
Yet most to this are blind

Against the facts, we’re oft thick skinned
The devil’s blinded eyes
Like candles in a blustering wind
Truth flickers ere it dies

Hold fast the truth before it fades
Before forever lost
Before the enemy invades
Whatever yet the cost

How swift at times a storm can rage
Thunder and lightning peel
Within life’s book may turn a page
And doubt is all too real

Through life we always need God’s hand
In sunshine and in rain
We need to heed each royal command
To stand against the strain

Our house needs Christ as corner stone
His Holy Ghost inside
We dare not walk life’s path alone
Without The Lord as guide

Too oft salvation’s round the bend
Often just out of sight
Yet even the blind will comprehend
Through Jesus’ gift of Light

Salvation waits for heads to bow
For man to bend his knee
The time is here the time is now
The time is right to see
