Like Most Dreamers Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Like Most Dreamers

Like most dreamers
she found me asleep,
Though I've dreamed of her before
This time felt real.
I ran across a rainbow knowing nothing
except that I ran.
Like most dreamers
I didn't fear falling until it happened.
I felt myself land in my bed with a loud crash
Like most dreams that end
there is always a beginning and an end.
Like most dreamers
I wasn't afraid to fall asleep & dream again
This time I'll run faster
This time I'll catch you for sure.
No matter how far you stretch
I'll reach out and grab you.
No matter how you kick the covers
Like most dreams
The best way to begin is a good night kiss from you
