Like Moving Clouds Poem by Mark Fahmy

Like Moving Clouds

Rating: 4.5

Clouds moving so fast in the morning skies
Yesterday's baby cries become today's old age sighs
What was an everyday habit is now a memory
Of a habit time forgot to emphasize

As we contemplate the movement of the clouds
We experience the transformation of sounds
Sweet soft melodies of childhood swiftly disappear
And the echoes of rock music & drum beats become so near

We continue to watch the fluffy clouds
As they start to darken and we hear the thunder sounds
Moments of fear and increasing doubts
Of our loved ones, our friends and our surrounding crowds
Moments of crisis and emotional breakdown
When we're vulnerable and about to fall down

We relax again and thoughtlessly recline
Waiting for the rain to pass, for the sun to shine
Until between the clouds, the blinding rays of the sun penetrate
Reminding us of the fears and the weaknesses we have to obliterate

After contemplating for so long
We knew that all the clouds had already passed along
Not realizing that we spent all our lifetime watching the clouds
Because time passes so fast
Like moving clouds leaving no place for the past!
