Lines Ii Poem by Nyx C Styx

Lines Ii

To He from whose rib I was fashioned. You are the Heaven worth dying for. I have loved for the longest time. I have loved you since the day we met and the days before that. There is this archaic touch in what I feel. I cannot look at you without feeling these ancient affections that have long before I laid eyes upon you, have been burning through the hours of my time. As though the mere sight of you was the approval of time 'it is he for whom you felt this for all these years'...'it he who has fueled your life long dreams'. I have loved you long before we ever met. Long before either of us were born. Long before the world was made to form. This vision I see; that it was not Adam but You who stood before God, and out of request of your loneliness you broke apart so close to your heart, that rib that made me before you. God made you and you made me and to the earth we settled, soft and free. I have loved you long before me met. This feeling I cannot seem to forget. How else can I explain, that the distance is nonexistent to me, You from whose clay I was fashioned, I may again be close to you by the mine your hand upon my face.
