Literary Critics Poem by Francis Duggan

Literary Critics

It is true that most literary critics as writers never make the grade
And that true writers are born and cannot be made
But it is the literary critics who does have the say
On who is to become a wealthy and famous writer of today
A good review from a known literary critic is worth it's weight in gold
Being ignored by critics is the reason many writers grow poorer as they grow old
In the making of every literary millionaire
The known literary critic is a major player
Though many good writers are not well known nonetheless
Due to being ignored by literary critics they never know of literary success
On the making of every literary millionaire literary critics does have the say
On who is to become famous as a writer they do have their way
Though few literary critics as writers ever make the literary grade
They decide who is to be successful in the wordsmith trade.
